Arrest in Irvine

A 37-year-old internet installer was arrested after police say he sent himself a customer's private sexually explicit video during a home installation.
Can I test the Wi-Fi
A woman told Irvine police that a GFiber contractor installed service in her apartment in early August, then asked to use her cellphone to test the signal.
“asked to use her cellphone to "test the Wi-Fi" signal”
Ten to fifteen minutes
She checked on the installer after about 10 to 15 minutes but could not see what he was doing with her phone.
The iPad gave it away
She later found that a private video she had texted her partner was also sent from her phone to another device over iMessage. It was deleted from the phone, but still sat on her linked iPad.
Traced by phone number
The number on the message led back to Logan Edward Gray-McCannon of Hemet, the technician who had been in her home. Police arrested him there on Sept. 11.
Police expect more victims
He was booked into Orange County Jail on commercial burglary, sharing a private sexual image without consent, and unauthorized computer access. Detectives released his photo and asked anyone with a similar encounter to contact Detective Sanders.
“evidence in the investigation suggests there may be additional victims”
