Bus strike kills 30 in Kramatorsk
A Russian strike hit a passenger bus in Kramatorsk, in the Donetsk region, killing at least 30 people and injuring 18 others on Thursday, according to the city council.
No military target, officials say
The city council said the strike hit a civilian vehicle with people going about their daily business, not a military location. Public transport in Kramatorsk has been suspended.
“Once again, the Russians have struck a location where there is absolutely no military target.”
Death toll reaches 60 in two days
The overnight attacks brought the death toll from Russian strikes across Ukraine over the past 48 hours to at least 60. On Wednesday, at least 25 people were killed, including 22 in an attack on a residential building in Pryluky, where at least four victims were children.
Zelenskyy condemns continued strikes
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia continued striking regions even after the brutal overnight attack, hitting an ordinary public transport stop in Kramatorsk with an aerial bomb on Thursday morning.
“Even after such a brutal attack, the Russians continued striking our regions.”
