Two dead at Poconos resort

Police found Charles Harrison and his three-year-old son dead on mattresses in a room at Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pocono Township on Monday after responding to a suicidal caller.

How the victims were killed

Charles Harrison had been stabbed multiple times in the chest. His son, identified in the complaint as T.H., appeared to have a single stab wound to his chest.

Woman charged with two counts of homicide

Twenty-seven-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison of Towanda was the nine one one caller and has been charged with two counts of homicide in connection with the deaths.

What Harrison told police

On the nine one one call, Harrison allegedly reported she was too weak to stab her neck and that knives were not working. She said her husband and son were already gone in the bed.

Family had been at resort for weeks

The family had been staying at Great Wolf Lodge since September twenty-first and were slated to check out on Tuesday. Police searched their Towanda home for evidence of motive.

Family members describe suspect's behavior

Victims' family members told police Harrison was dominant and controlling and had isolated them. One claimed she was resentful toward her son because she never wanted to get pregnant.

Harrison denied bail, awaits hearing

Harrison was denied bail during her arraignment on Tuesday and is in custody awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for October twenty-first. No attorney information is listed for her.
