McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri crashed on the last lap of the twenty-lap sprint race at the Singapore Grand Prix while chasing Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
Norris clipped Piastri's rear tyre
Norris, running fifth behind Piastri in fourth, attempted to overtake but clipped the Australian's rear tyre with his front wheel, sending both cars spinning and handing Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli fourth place.
Piastri retires, Norris limps home

Norris apologises but defends move
Norris apologised to the team over the radio, saying he thought he was fully alongside. He later told Sky Sports he was entitled to go for the gap because it is a race.
“Sorry about that. Obviously, I didn't want that to happen, but I thought I was fully alongside.”
Qualifying positions set for main race
Max Verstappen won the sprint and took pole for Sunday's main race ahead of Charles Leclerc. Norris qualified fifth and Piastri seventh for the main race at eleven pm AEDT on Sunday.
