Zelenskyy says allies stopped warning of missile strikes

Ukraine's president says partner nations have halted early warnings of Russian ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv, even as the US insists it still shares intelligence.

In brief

Ukraine's president says partner nations have halted early warnings of Russian ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv, even as the US insists it still shares intelligence. President Zelenskyy says Ukraine received no advance warning from international partners of Russian ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv that killed two…

No warning before Tuesday's strike

Russian forces struck Kyiv on Tuesday with ballistic missiles, killing two people in a high-rise apartment and hitting thermal plant number four. President Zelenskyy said he received no advance warning from international partners.

“Once again, no advance warning from our partners. The main target was energy infrastructure, specifically thermal plant No. 4.”

Zelenskyy: unfair to fight without warnings

President Zelenskyy said it was unfair that Ukraine endured attacks without warnings from partners while Russia destroyed energy infrastructure. He said Russia was preparing further ballistic missile launches.

“And it is certainly unfair that they are destroying our energy infrastructure while Ukraine is not even receiving warnings about ballistic missile launches.”

Zelenskyy questions Trump's ceasefire claim

Zelenskyy said Russia did not respect US President Donald Trump's announcement of an energy ceasefire at the weekend. He wrote that Russia showed ostentatious disrespect toward the United States.

“The facts show that the Russians do not consider themselves bound to abide by what the president of the United States said.”

Trump says US still sharing intelligence

US President Donald Trump said Washington was still sharing intelligence with Ukraine about incoming ballistic missile strikes. He also pressured Kyiv to halt attacks on Russian refineries.

SpaceX limits Starlink in Ukraine

SpaceX introduced limits on Starlink services in Ukraine on Wednesday, disrupting combat drone missions. The satellite internet terminals from Elon Musk's company guide Ukraine's longer-range drone strikes in occupied southern and eastern Ukraine.

“Our defence forces did not receive a warning about this limitation, and this led to the disruption of several missions.”

Starlink stopped military-grade service

SpaceX stopped the operation of its military-grade version above one hundred miles per hour, or one hundred sixty kilometres per hour. Ukraine's seventh Rapid Reaction Corps said units were forced to cancel some missions.

“According to our observations, during flights, the connection could drop for 10-20 seconds at speeds of just 110-120 km/h.”

Kyiv strike kills two, damages thirty facilities

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the strike on a nine-storey building killed two people and injured twenty-one.

Russia denies energy ceasefire agreement

Russia's defence ministry said it struck four power plants in and around Kyiv and two in Kharkiv. Neither Moscow nor Kyiv confirmed Trump's claim that both sides agreed to halt strikes on energy infrastructure.

What to remember

President Zelenskyy says Ukraine received no advance warning from international partners of Russian ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv that killed two people and damaged energy infrastructure, contradicting US claims of continued intelligence sharing.
