Auburn dismisses Xavier Atkins

Auburn Tigers dismissed star linebacker Xavier Atkins after suspension for upset win over No. 1 Georgia.

Atkins' statement

Atkins said he has respect for Auburn University and will support teammates this season.

“I have nothing but respect [for] Auburn University and will continue to support my teammates this season”

Coach Golesh's response

Coach Golesh said they're still working through Atkins' status without an update.

“We're still working through it. We're continuing to work through it. I don't have an update right now”
