Airbnb limits what hosts can ask guests

Airbnb has changed its rules to restrict what property hosts may ask guests to do, including cleaning tasks. The updated guidelines allow hosts to set seven standard house rules and add other reasonable requests.

Guests should not do cleaner's work

Guests who pay cleaning fees should not be asked to complete tasks normally done by a cleaner, including washing dishes and stripping beds.The new rules apply to all reservations booked on or after twenty November.

Guests have for years complained about unreasonable tasks required before departure, especially as they already pay cleaning fees.

How Airbnb will enforce the new policy
