Influencer charged with rape
Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, has been charged with rape, providing alcohol to a minor, and drugging someone for sex in Massachusetts. The alleged offences occurred in May 2025.
Civil lawsuit preceded charges
A woman filed a civil lawsuit earlier this year alleging Peters served her vodka and had nonconsensual sex with her at his parents' home on Cape Cod when she was a minor. She also accused him of injecting her with an unapproved substance.
Known for extreme body modification
Peters built his online following through looksmaxxing, a movement focused on maximising physical attractiveness. He has publicly discussed bone smashing, hitting his jawline with a hammer to achieve a more chiselled appearance.
Translated online fame to fashion
Despite controversy over his looksmaxxing methods, Peters walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week in June, translating his online notoriety into broader cultural recognition.
Prior legal troubles in Florida
Peters was charged in Florida earlier this year for unlawfully discharging a firearm after filming himself shooting at an alligator. He was also arrested in March on battery charges after allegedly instigating a fight, though authorities later declined to file charges.
Peters denies allegations online
After the Massachusetts charges became public, Peters posted a video on X appearing to show his accuser and wrote that successful young men face false accusations. His spokesperson told CBS News the charges are bogus.
“Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money”
