Netanyahu defends military campaigns
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fiercely defended his country's military campaigns in Iran, Gaza and elsewhere in the Middle East during a UN General Assembly speech on September twenty-fourth.
Dozens walk out as he speaks
Dozens of delegates walked out in protest as Netanyahu took to the stage. He responded by vowing to continue fighting, saying we're going to win, we have no other choice.
“We're going to win. We have no other choice.”

In response to the walkout, Netanyahu said if there are any other moral cowards who haven't left the hall, please do so now, appearing to have pre-scripted the comment.

Abbas accuses Israel of genocide
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas addressed the UN via video link, saying Israeli policies subjected Palestinians to killing, destruction, starvation and attempts at displacement, as well as a genocidal war in Gaza.

Netanyahu disputes settler violence figures
Netanyahu accused the media of misrepresenting violence by Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank, claiming maybe two or three people are killed a year. UN figures show twenty-three Palestinians killed in settler attacks this year.
Netanyahu attacks Erdogan and Mamdani

Netanyahu labelled Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a tyrant and accused New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani of making Jews feel unsafe. Both figures faced sharp criticism from the Israeli leader at the podium.
“Since you were elected mayor of this city, many Jews no longer feel safe in New York.”
Netanyahu praises Trump and US strikes
Netanyahu thanked US President Donald Trump for bold leadership, referring to air strikes the US and Israel jointly launched against Tehran in February, saying they acted together to protect themselves and save civilisation.
“Israel and America acted together not only to protect ourselves, but to save civilisation.”
Election campaign and global isolation
Netanyahu faces a critical election at home next month while Israel faces growing isolation abroad. His speech was pitched at two audiences: Israelis questioning his security credentials since October seventh, twenty twenty-three, and Americans amid plummeting Democratic support.
Protesters detained near UN

A number of people protesting Netanyahu's visit were detained in New York City, including Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon and Emmy-winning actress Hannah Einbinder, after officers responded to reports of an unscheduled demonstration blocking a junction.
