Sinfield finishes seven ultramarathons in seven days

Sir Kevin Sinfield completed his latest endurance challenge for motor neurone disease causes in memory of his friend and teammate Rob Burrow, who died in two thousand twenty-four.

The route visited all twelve Super League clubs

Sinfield began his final ultramarathon challenge in Hull on September twenty-seventh and visited all twelve UK Super League clubs along the way, finishing at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester.

Thirteen million pounds raised since two thousand twenty

Sinfield and his team have raised more than thirteen million pounds for the MND community since his first annual challenge in two thousand twenty.

Royal visitors joined the challenge

Along the way Sinfield was surprised by The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Princess Royal, as well as former England football manager Sir Gareth Southgate and Leeds boxer Josh Warrington.

Burrow's widow praises Sinfield's dedication

Lindsey Burrow, Rob's wife, told BBC Radio four's PM that her late husband would have been incredibly proud. She said she was in complete awe of Kevin's efforts over the last seven years.

“It's bittersweet that Rob's not here today to see Kevin finish his final challenge but Rob will be with us in spirit.”

Sinfield's son plays in Grand Final

Sinfield's son Jack lined up in the Wakefield side seeking to clinch their first top-flight title since nineteen sixty-eight, as his father presented the Grand Final trophy ahead of kick-off.
