Drummond told British Curling that returning felt like riding a bike. She said the nervous feeling and butterflies showed her it was right to come back, and that the enjoyment and excitement are there.

“It really doesn't feel like I have been away for that long and, once I got into the flow of things, with the practice and the games it literally was like riding a bike.”

Kyle eyes Olympic mixed doubles path

Kyle, a bronze medallist from this year's World Championship, said he would love to follow compatriot Bruce Mouat by combining two disciplines at the next Winter Olympics. He called this a great start to the cycle.

“When I got the call this summer from an Olympic gold medallist to ask if I wanted to partner her in mixed doubles, I was really chuffed.”

Muirhead also returns but misses playoffs

Drummond's Olympic skip, thirty-six-year-old Eve Muirhead, came out of retirement for this tournament. However, she and Bobby Lammie finished fourth in their seven-team section and did not progress to the play-offs.
