Fox commits to Arsenal with new deal

The 28-year-old USA defender has signed a three-year contract extension with Arsenal, calling it an easy decision to stay at the club where she has thrived since 2024.
“It was honestly an easy decision because of where I want to be now, and in a few years' time.”
Arsenal's trophy haul under Fox
Since joining from North Carolina Courage in 2024, Fox has won the Women's Champions League in 2025, the Women's Champions Cup in 2026, and the Women's League Cup in her first season.
Recognition as world-class defender
Fox has made nearly 100 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions and has been named in the PFA team of the year for the last two seasons.
Unfinished business: the WSL title

Despite her success, Fox says Arsenal still lacks the one trophy that matters most to her: the Women's Super League title. She is determined to add it to her collection.
“There is definitely some unfinished business. We want to keep going, keep winning.”
USA preparing for 2027 World Cup
Fox is also focused on the USA's campaign under new manager Emma Hayes, with qualifying matches in November and friendlies against Spain in October as preparation for the 2027 Women's World Cup.
The takeaway
Emily Fox extended her Arsenal contract because she sees the club as the best place to grow and win trophies, though she still chases the one prize that has eluded her: the WSL title.
