Trump's ICE pick withdrawn
The White House has withdrawn President Trump's nomination of Richard Schroyer to run Immigration and Customs Enforcement after his nomination failed to advance in the Senate.
Schroyer's role and timing

Rand Paul stalled the nomination
Republican Senator Rand Paul stalled Schroyer's advancement as he demanded details of investigations into agent-involved shootings in Minnesota.
Paul's position unclear
Schroyer did not advance past the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Paul's office said the senator has not expressed opposition to Schroyer.
