Super Bowl favorites Rams bounce back against Giants in Week 2 matchup at SoFi Stadium. The Rams are favored by 6.5 points despite a blowout loss to San Francisco, while the Giants look to start 2-0 under new coach John Harbaugh. Originally reported by CBS Sports.
Rams stumble in Australia
The defending Super Bowl favorites lost 27-7 to the 49ers in Melbourne despite acquiring Myles Garrett, Trent McDuffie, and Aaron Donald in the offseason.
Giants start strong under Harbaugh
New head coach John Harbaugh led New York to a 28-20 win over Dallas in Week 1, with Jaxson Dart throwing three touchdowns and Cam Skattebo contributing on the ground.
Rams favored despite struggles
Los Angeles is still the betting favorite at minus 6.5 points, with the over-under set at 47.5 points for Monday night's matchup at SoFi Stadium.
Expert pick: Rams -7
SportsLine's Adam Thompson expects Matthew Stafford and the Rams defense to bounce back emphatically, even without Myles Garrett, against a Giants team that faced a weaker Cowboys defense.
“The Rams were embarrassed in Australia by the 49ers. But this team remains the Super Bowl favorite.”
Skattebo set for big rushing game
Props expert Alex Selesnick backs Cam Skattebo to exceed 48.5 rushing yards, noting the Giants running back was impressive in Week 1 and faces a Rams defense weakened by Myles Garrett's absence.
“I think the Giants might be the best team in the NFC East and I was very impressed with New York's offense.”
At a glance
The Rams are favored by 6.5 points despite a blowout loss to San Francisco, while the Giants look to start 2-0 under new coach John Harbaugh.
