Beijing-based Moonshot announced Thursday that its Kimi AI model now connects to major financial data providers like S&P Global and Wind Information, with investment banks and venture capital firms already using it.

Financial giants are already clients

Investment bank CICC and venture capital firms including Sequoia China (now Hong Shan) are using Kimi for their work, signaling serious adoption among major financial institutions.

Direct access to market data

Kimi users can access S&P Global Market Intelligence, Crunchbase, Wind, Tianyancha, SEC EDGAR filings, IMF data, World Bank reports, and Federal Reserve economic data without switching apps.

Tiered pricing starts at $7 monthly

Kimi subscriptions range from 49 yuan ($7.31) per month to 699 yuan ($104.23), with different data access levels depending on which tier users choose.

AI reliability matters for finance

Deutsche Bank's Beijing manager noted that AI companies combining strong capabilities with financial expertise and data security will lead the transformation of financial workflows.

“AI companies that understand real financial workflows and can deliver reliability and data security will be particularly well positioned to contribute to this transformation.”

Moonshot reportedly pursuing Hong Kong IPO

The startup has confidentially filed for a Hong Kong initial public offering, though the company declined to comment on the speculation.
