The White House has offered Katie Zacharia, a lawyer and conservative commentator at Trump Media and Technology Group, the position of White House press secretary, a White House official confirmed to CNBC.
Zacharia's background in Trump circles
Zacharia has worked since June as a senior communications advisor for Trump Media, owner of Truth Social.
Zacharia replaces Leavitt as press secretary
If she accepts, Zacharia will succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the Trump administration in late August. It was not immediately clear if Zacharia has accepted the offer.
