The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS make the most of the second big update of their respective generations, with retuned suspensions, upgraded powertrains, and tech borrowed from the S-class.
Engine Upgrades for 2027 GLE
For 2027, the GLE engine lineup is overhauled with more power for most variants, including a six-cylinder plug-in hybrid in place of the previous inline-four.
GLS Engine Update
Like the new GLE, the 2027 GLS borrows its top engine from the updated S-class, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that now features a flat-plane crankshaft.
Front End Design Changes
Both GLE and GLS front ends get resurfaced bumpers, as well as grilles featuring rows and rows of little three-pointed stars.
Suspension and Tech Improvements
