Brian and Sharna: five years, no wedding
A coffee shop date, a pandemic lockdown, a baby, a ring, and a wedding that keeps getting pushed back.
In brief
A coffee shop date, a pandemic lockdown, a baby, a ring, and a wedding that keeps getting pushed back. They are not stalling out of doubt. Sharna wants a big Australian family wedding and a second baby first, and both cost money and time they are still earning. Originally reported by Cosmopolitan.
Where this all starts

Early 2021, Brian Austin Green was tabloid fuel over Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. Five years later he is engaged to a Dancing With the Stars pro and still not married.
The split was already old news
In May 2020 Brian said on his podcast that he and Megan actually separated in December 2019, after she realised she felt more like herself working alone abroad.
“I was shocked and I was upset about it, but I can't be upset at her because she didn't ask to feel that way.”
A source says otherwise
The same day Brian called Megan and MGK friends, an E! source said they were hooking up and had been for a while. Two versions of the same week.
“She has something going on with Machine Gun Kelly that she is excited about.”
The caption war
August 2020 turned petty. Megan posted a photo with MGK captioned "Achingly Beautiful Boy...My heart is yours." Brian posted a picture of their kids and copied the caption word for word.
He stops being devastated

By September 2020 reports said Brian was no longer wrecked by the split and had stopped caring that the new couple was public about it.
Sharna teases someone new

December 2020, Sharna told Us Weekly she was off the market but refused to name it. Days later paparazzi caught the two of them leaving LAX, dancing to holiday music in line.
“I actually am not on the market anymore. But it's very new.”
Instagram official
January 2021 they made it public on Instagram. A month later they did a Valentine's Day live together.
“This could be the start of something amazing.”
Sharna praises the exes
On the record, Sharna called Brian a wonderful dad and credited him and Megan with raising three kind, considerate kids. She went out of her way to say it publicly.
“They've done such an amazing job.”
Locked in a house together
Brian told People they met at a coffee shop, had a few dates, then the pandemic sealed them in together. He said losing track of time on the first date was the tell.
“We met at a coffee shop, then had a few dates and then we were locked in a house together.”
The post everyone misread
July 2021, Brian posted a kissing photo captioned about finally sharing life with someone. Fans read it as a dig at Megan. It wasn't, and Megan briefly commented "Grateful for Sharna."
“It's been a really long time since I've been with someone I can truly share life with.”
He shuts the drama down
With speculation building, Brian posted a statement on Stories saying he and Megan get along and work hard at co-parenting. No digs in either direction.
“Neither of us are sending petty digs to each other.”
Partners on the ballroom floor

September 2021, Brian joined Dancing With the Stars with Sharna as his pro partner. They were eliminated in October after a pirate-themed run.
A baby, then a settlement
February 2022 brought the pregnancy news, and soon after, Brian and Megan finally reached a divorce settlement. Their son Zane arrived in June.
Shocked off the show

Sharna sat out season 31 for newborn Zane, then was not asked back for 32. She said her last five years on the show had been rocky since a new executive producer arrived.
“It was such a shock, because I wasn't expecting it, it was tough.”
Then came the ring

Soon after that podcast episode in September 2023, Brian and Sharna announced their engagement.
The MGK feud flares
March 2025, Brian shared a hostile private message he said came from MGK, ending with "go back to cereal commercials." Sharna backed her fiance and talked up respectful co-parenting.
“A successful co-parenting relationship starts with communication and respect.”
Why no wedding yet

Sharna wants a big one, with her family flown in from Australia, and says they cannot afford to blow that money now. She also wants a second child first, putting it roughly two years out.
“I'd rather wait for, like, a year or two for all these jobs we've got coming up.”
The key point
They are not stalling out of doubt. Sharna wants a big Australian family wedding and a second baby first, and both cost money and time they are still earning.
