Why Patient Zero Isn't on YouTube

Taylor Swift typically drops all her music videos on YouTube, but fans who ran to Tay’s page watch "Patient Zero" after it premiered at the 2026 VMAs were fresh out of luck.

Where Patient Zero Is Available

The video is only available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music as of now.

Why Patient Zero Is Exclusive

It might be as simple as Taylor prioritizing YouTube for her lyric video and giving other platforms exclusive access to the official video.

Patient Zero YouTube Release Date

It will reportedly arrive on YouTube Tuesday, September 29, an entire day from now.

Taylor's Patient Zero Comments

Taylor wrote on Instagram: "With the Patient Zero video, I got to explore the cinematic and literary genres I love so much. I wanted to incorporate elements of gothic ghost stories, true crime, psychological thrillers all in a setting I hadn’t really shot in much. The house was a metaphor for the coldness of a relationship that’s faded and atrophied. Thank you to @ethantobman for your insightful production design, and bringing that feeling to life. My editor @chancler has outdone himself. And lastly, thank you to the @vmas for giving us a World Premiere at the place where celebrating music videos became a thing. And so much love for you guys, always."
