The D'Amelio family feud, explained
A missing-millions rumor, an unfollow on Instagram, and a popcorn brand split pulled TikTok's first family apart.
In brief
A missing-millions rumor, an unfollow on Instagram, and a popcorn brand split pulled TikTok's first family apart. Nobody has denied there's a rift anymore. The only question left is how much money is actually missing. Originally reported by Cosmopolitan.
TikTok's first family

Charli, Dixie, Heidi and Marc D'Amelio became household names off Charli's lockdown dance videos, then parlayed it into Broadway, Prada, Dunkin' and a Hulu show.
The show got canceled

Hulu ended The D'Amelio Show after two seasons in 2024. Producers likely regret it, because the real drama started right after the cameras left.
The Great Unfollowing

In October 2025, a Reddit user spotted that Charli and her parents had quietly unfollowed each other on Instagram. They all still follow Dixie.
Millions allegedly moved

On May 30, 2026, DeuxMoi reported that Charli found millions had been transferred out of accounts set up while her parents managed her career.
“discovered millions of dollars had been transferred out of accounts”
Dixie picked a side

The same report claimed the money dispute split the family, with Dixie lining up behind Heidi and Marc rather than her sister.

Marc says receipts exist
Marc jumped into DeuxMoi's comments calling the report false, then told People it was 100 percent untrue. He also said he had proof.
“We love Charli, but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts.”
The livestream confirmed it
Hours later Marc went live on Instagram, blamed Charli's business manager for treating her like a cash cow, and said he only reaches his daughter through her lawyer.
“We're destroyed, man. We're freaking devastated. We want Charli back.”
Charli posted mirrorball

That same day she shared a photo of herself with bloodshot eyes set to Taylor Swift, captioned "i'll be back dancing later i'm depressed leave me alone."

She exited the popcorn
Charli formally separated from D'Amelio Brands and Be Happy Snacks. The deal started March 2025 and closed that November, so she'd been out for months before anyone noticed.
“Charli hasn't plugged the product in more than a year.”
Wouldn't I like to know

On Quen Blackwell's show in September 2026, Charli was asked how much she'd earned from her deals. Her answer was the closest thing to a confirmation yet.
“Ain't that the question! Wouldn't I like to know?”
Dixie's painful dodge

Cornered by a street reporter days later, Dixie deflected with a joke that flopped and said she hoped they'd sort it out. Her parents still haven't responded publicly.
“Who's saying that? The World Wide Web?”
