Five years in federal prison
Dian Huang Jiang, known as Danny Jiang, got a 60-month sentence Wednesday after pleading guilty to conspiracy to use interstate facilities in aid of racketeering. Judge Sam A. Lindsay handed it down.
Oklahoma to Texas, for years

Court records put Jiang at the head of the network from January 2020 through August 2023. Stash houses in both states held the product before it moved to buyers.
A thousand pounds a day
At its peak the operation pushed as much as 1,000 pounds of marijuana in one day. Buyers had to take 20 to 300 pounds per transaction, so this was wholesale, not street level.

Cash moved overseas
Jiang told customers where to drop cash payments. Investigators traced proceeds crossing state lines, with some of the money sent abroad, including to China.
Millions seized and forfeited
On August 8, 2023, agents pulled more than $2.8 million from bank accounts and safe-deposit boxes. Jiang also faces forfeiture of several homes and over $4 million in traced drug proceeds.
Four agencies, one case
The DEA Dallas Field Division led the investigation with the FBI Oklahoma City office, Oklahoma's narcotics bureau, and Mesquite police. It was charged under the Homeland Security Task Force initiative.
