A 22-year-old woman was walking at Shady Grove Trail Park on September 14 around 8:20 p.m. when a man approached and allegedly tried to grab her.

Suspect description released
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-to-late 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium-to-heavy build, medium-length black wavy hair, and a short unkempt beard.
Suspect caught on surveillance
Surveillance footage captured the suspect running across a parking lot and across West Shady Grove Road after the incident.
Community concerns about safety
Residents near the park, which sits across from Townley Elementary School, expressed concern about the incident despite the park having nighttime lighting.
“They have lights here, so they welcome people to come at night.”
