Socialist Streamer Piker Targets Talarico

Socialist streamer Hasan Piker says state Rep. James Talarico must remember who put him in power and play ball with the left if he wins Texas' U.S. Senate race.

“After James Talarico wins...we have to remind him that...we are the force that allowed him to win this seat of power, and if he wants to maintain it he's got to play ball.”

DSA Promotes Piker for Senate Race

DSA's Left-Wing Agenda

DSA's agenda extends to changing ownership of major companies and government structure, including public ownership of largest corporations, abolishing ICE, ending deportations, and granting amnesty regardless of immigration status.

Talarico's Capitalism Critique

Talarico linked capitalism, white supremacy, and climate change at a September 2020 Austin Sierra Club forum, saying they work together to dismantle oppressive systems.

“I'm so thankful that you asked this question and also thankful that young activists have really drawn the link between climate change and white supremacy and capitalism in our country.”

Talarico's Campaign Stance

His campaign described him as a proud capitalist and admitted his earlier response to CNN missed the mark on the topic.
