Two Texas Teachers, Two Separate Sex-Crime Cases

A federal indictment in Lubbock and a decoy sting in Collinsville landed on the same Wednesday, and neither case touches the other.

In brief

A federal indictment in Lubbock and a decoy sting in Collinsville landed on the same Wednesday, and neither case touches the other. Two unrelated Texas educators were charged the same day, and both cases are still allegations with the defendants presumed innocent. Originally reported by Dallas Express.

Two cases, one day

Two cases, one day

Authorities announced charges against two Texas teachers on Wednesday. Different defendants, different districts, different investigations, no connection between them.

Federal charge in Lubbock

A federal grand jury indicted Allegra Fey Mora, 28, a former Muleshoe High School teacher, on one count of enticement of a minor.

What the indictment alleges

Between October 2025 and May 2026, Mora allegedly used a cellphone to persuade or coerce a minor into sexual activity. Texas Rangers opened the case in June after a report about a 17-year-old student.

“persuade, induce, entice, or coerce a minor to engage in sexual activity”

Ten years minimum

Mora was arrested by state authorities earlier this year and released pending state proceedings. A federal conviction carries a mandatory minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life.

A decoy in Collinsville

Collinsville police arrested Spencer Brewer after he allegedly chatted online with someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl. She was an adult decoy run by the group Expose Dat Predator.

Removed from campus

Brewer teaches fourth-grade math at Callisburg ISD. The district put him on administrative leave and pulled him from campus. Police say their investigation is ongoing.

Passing the trash

Mora's indictment is the second under Project Safe Schools, a federal push against educators who move between districts without their misconduct history following them.

“An indictment is not evidence of guilt, and all defendants are presumed innocent.”

The main idea

Two unrelated Texas educators were charged the same day, and both cases are still allegations with the defendants presumed innocent.
