Retro pocket camera goes digital

Camp Snap 110D

Camp Snap's new 110D is inspired by tiny 1970s film cameras but runs on digital. It costs $74.99 in the US and £57 in the UK, with preorders shipping in late October.

No screen, just pure simplicity

Camp Snap 110D

The 110D has no rear screen, forcing you to take photos without checking them immediately. This brings back the anticipation of old film cameras while letting you transfer images digitally later.

“you take the photograph and move on rather than immediately checking whether you captured the perfect shot”

Eight megapixel sensor, fixed lens

Inside is an 8MP Sony sensor with a fixed 26mm-equivalent lens. Images save as JPEGs to a built-in 4GB microSD card that holds around 2,000 photos.

Five built-in filter looks

The camera includes Standard, Vintage 1, Vintage 2, Analog and Black & White filters you can switch on the camera itself. You can also create custom filters and choose between cool or warm flash tones.

Instant shutter response

Instant shutter response

Camp Snap says the 110D has its fastest shutter button yet, responding almost instantly. The QuickDraw battery system lets the camera sleep automatically and wake when you press the shutter.

Five hundred shots per charge

The rechargeable battery lasts around 500 photos per charge. USB-C handles both charging and transferring images to your phone, tablet or computer.

Fun over technical perfection

Camp Snap 110D

The 110D doesn't compete on image quality with mirrorless cameras or smartphones. Instead it makes photography uncomplicated, spontaneous and fun, with enough retro charm to actually carry everywhere.

“It isn't trying to compete with the latest mirrorless camera or even your smartphone on outright image quality; instead, it takes photography back to being uncomplicated, spontaneous, and fun.”

What matters most

The Camp Snap 110D proves that cameras can be fun and uncomplicated by removing the screen, adding nostalgic design, and keeping the price low.
