In brief
Pre-orders are open for the Osmo 360 II, and the £639 Adventure Combo quietly makes the cheaper box look like a trap. If you're new to DJI's 360 system, the £639 Adventure Combo costs £130 more but includes the batteries, case and invisible selfie stick you'd buy anyway. Originally reported by Digital Camera World.
Pre-orders are finally open

DJI has opened pre-orders for the Osmo 360 II, its latest 360-degree camera. There are several ways to buy it, but the bundles are not created equal.
Two combos, two prices

The Adventure Combo is £639 at Wex, Clifton Cameras and Park Cameras. The Standard Combo is £509, and right now you have to go direct to DJI for it.
What the extra £130 buys

Three Osmo Extreme Battery Plus cells, the Multifunctional Battery Case 3, and a 1.2m dual-direction quick-release invisible selfie stick, plus pouch, lens cap and the usual bits.
Accessories you'd buy anyway

Three charged batteries beat one on a long shoot, and an invisible selfie stick is close to mandatory on a 360 camera. Bought separately, those add up fast.
“those additions quickly add up, which is why I think the £639 Adventure Combo represents the better overall deal”
Native 8K at 60fps

DJI calls it 1-inch 360-degree imaging, recording native 8K 360 footage up to 60fps. That gives you far more room to reframe a shot after you've filmed it.
Built for bad light
Up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range, 120MP HDR stills, 10-bit with D-Log M, an f/1.9 aperture and AI SuperNight 2.0. It's meant to work past bright daylight.
Replaceable scratch-proof lenses

The lenses are ultra-hard, scratch-resistant, and you can swap them if they get chewed up. On a camera you bolt to bikes, helmets and cars, that may matter more than resolution.
The practical specs
105GB of usable built-in storage, NFC Quick Connect, Spotlight Follow subject framing, up to 100 minutes of 8K recording, and 183g on the scale.
Which one to buy

Already own compatible DJI accessories? The £509 Standard Combo saves real money. Buying into the 360 system for the first time? Spend the extra £130.
“for anyone buying into DJI's 360 system for the first time, I would spend the extra”
