World's thinnest portable SSD

Lexar unveiled the Muse, measuring just 3.8mm at its thickest point and tapering to 1mm at the edges. It's thin enough to slip into a jeans pocket like a credit card.

Attach it to your phone

A MagSafe-compatible magnetic sleeve lets you attach the Muse to the back of your phone without adding significant bulk. Perfect for shooting video directly to the drive.
Custom engineering makes it possible

Lexar used a custom ultra-thin circuit board, high-density memory stacking, and an integrated layout to fit everything into the slim profile. A precision-machined metal enclosure provides strength and heat dissipation.
Magnetic cable instead of USB-C

The Muse uses a new SnapLink Magnetic Cable with Pogo Pins instead of a traditional USB-C socket. Neodymium magnets guide alignment and hold the cable securely in place.
Fast enough for 4K video

The Muse delivers read speeds up to 1050 megabytes per second and write speeds up to 1000 megabytes per second. Compatible iPhones can record Apple ProRes 4K video at up to 120 frames per second directly to the drive.
Coming in late 2026
The Lexar Muse will be available in 512GB and 1TB capacities. Pricing hasn't been announced yet, with availability scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
