AppleCare+ or AppleCare One: which one fits
One plan covers one device, the other covers three for a flat $20 a month. The math depends on what you own.
In brief
One plan covers one device, the other covers three for a flat $20 a month. The math depends on what you own. Add up AppleCare+ for each device you own. If the total beats $20 a month, AppleCare One wins; if not, stick with individual plans. Originally reported by Engadget.
One year is all you get

Every Apple product ships with a one-year limited warranty. Extending it means picking between two plans: AppleCare+ covers a single device, AppleCare One covers several.
Best for a single device

If you own one Apple product, AppleCare+ is the cheaper route. Pricing scales with the model: $14 a month for an iPhone 17 Pro Max, $10 for an iPhone 17e.
What the coverage buys
Unlimited accident repairs, 24/7 priority support, and service at any Apple Store worldwide. Free battery swaps once health drops to 80 percent, plus theft and loss cover on iPhones, iPads and Watches.
You still pay deductibles
It is insurance, so fees apply per repair. An iPhone screen or back glass costs $29, and replacing a stolen or lost phone runs $149.
“Since AppleCare is a form of insurance, though, you can expect to pay service fees and deductibles”
Three devices, twenty dollars
AppleCare One bundles the same benefits for up to three devices at $20 a month. An iPhone 17 Pro Max, 13-inch iPad Pro and AirPods Pro 3 would cost $27.47 separately.
“paying $20 for the subscription would be a no-brainer”
The fine print on One
Extra devices cost $6 each, must sit under your Apple account, and generally need to be four years old or newer. Headphones must be under a year. It only exists in five countries so far.
The big picture
Add up AppleCare+ for each device you own. If the total beats $20 a month, AppleCare One wins; if not, stick with individual plans.
