Bose doubles down on open-ear

Bose is launching two new open-ear earbuds on October 1: the Ultra Open Earbuds (2nd Gen) at $299 and the new Sport Open Earbuds at $199.
Ultra gets better sound and battery
The second-gen Ultra Open Earbuds feature a new driver for better bass, Cinema Mode spatial audio, and battery life extended to nine hours (up from 7.5 hours), plus 20 hours in the wireless charging case.
Same cuff design, new look
The Ultra Open Earbuds keep their distinctive cuff-clip design but add a beveled finish on the metallic caps. The redesigned case now supports wireless charging and stands upright.
Sport model built for workouts
The Sport Open Earbuds use a soft silicone cuff and lightweight design for fitness. They're IP54 rated for sweat and dust, support multipoint connectivity, and deliver seven hours of battery life with 22 hours in the case.
Smart features across both models
Both earbuds support multipoint Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, auto volume control, and physical controls for workouts. The Ultra adds Cinema Mode spatial audio and Google Find Hub and Alexa+ support via firmware update.
