Google launches CC for families
Google's new experimental AI agent CC helps families stay organized by creating a shared account that up to six members can contribute information to.
Share emails and stay synced
Users can selectively share emails with CC, which then creates a shared calendar and task list visible to all members and sends daily briefings about upcoming events.
Handle paperwork and logistics

CC can file paperwork, fill out registration forms, and create shopping lists, but it asks for permission before taking any action on behalf of users.
CC is a rebranded project
Google first launched CC last December, then rebranded it as Daily Briefing earlier this year. Now it's pivoting back to the CC name with a family-focused approach based on user feedback.
Privacy protections are built in
CC cannot add or remove family members or access individual inboxes. Users can also add it to Drive folders or interact with it through a dedicated Google Chat window.
Existing users get an upgrade

Current CC users will receive a prompt to upgrade to the new family-focused version. New users can join a wait list to access the tool.
