Xiaomi launches Pro 18 series

Xiaomi has revealed the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max phones. They are now available in China, with a global release planned for later this year.
First phones with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6
The phones are among the first handsets to use Qualcomm's latest mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, with the 18 Pro Max running the higher-end version.
Privacy screens block side viewing
Xiaomi equipped the phones with privacy-focused screens similar to Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra. The screens make it harder to see what's on display from an off angle.
More granular privacy controls than Samsung

Xiaomi's privacy screen offers more granular settings. When enabled for a specific app, it shields notifications, split-screen views and floating windows from acute angles. Location-based triggers and front-camera snooping detection are included.
Displays and cameras match previous generation
The 18 Pro has a six point four inch display and the 18 Pro Max has a six point nine inch screen, both LTPO AMOLED with one to one hundred twenty hertz refresh rate and two K resolution. Rear cameras match the 17 Pro: two hundred megapixel main, two hundred megapixel telephoto, fifty megapixel ultrawide.
Larger batteries and pricing in China
The 18 Pro has a seven thousand milliamp hour battery and the 18 Pro Max has an eight thousand five hundred milliamp hour battery. Both support one hundred watt wired and fifty watt wireless charging. Prices start at five thousand nine hundred ninety-nine yuan and six thousand nine hundred ninety-nine yuan respectively.
In short
Xiaomi released the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips and privacy screens that block side viewing, heading to global markets later this year.
