Muse reaches ten million users
Meta's AI agent Muse has attracted more than ten million users since its early September rollout, despite being available only in the US and Canada.
Zuckerberg: entering a new phase
CEO Mark Zuckerberg said during Meta's third-quarter earnings call that the company is entering a new operational phase focused on scaling Muse to serve billions of people.
“Now that Muse has clear product market fit, we are entering a new phase and a more operational phase that is focused on scaling it.”
Shopping drives Muse adoption

Shopping is the most common use case for Muse, with people spending an average of two hundred dollars per purchase. Meta plans to charge businesses fees for transactions facilitated by the agent.
Muse revenue could exceed apps
Zuckerberg predicted Muse will eventually generate more revenue per user than Facebook and Instagram, which currently make several hundreds of dollars annually per American user.
“The average revenue per American user for our existing family of apps users is several hundreds of dollars annually, and we expect that Muse will reach an even higher level over time due to the amount of commerce that we already see taking place.”
Muse coming to Meta glasses next month
Meta will add Muse to its AI glasses next month, allowing users to talk to their agent and manage tasks. The company expects Muse to help drive AI subscription sales on hardware.
The bottom line
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company's AI agent Muse has reached product-market fit with ten million users and will eventually generate more revenue per user than Facebook and Instagram.
