Angel Reese's Defensive Strength

Angel Reese won WNBA Defensive Player of the Year with 12.1 rebounds per game.

Flau’jae Johnson's View

Flau’jae Johnson says Reese is relentless on defense but needs consistent three-point shooting.

“On a defensive point, I wouldn’t say nothing. She’s just a dog, and when you a dog, things just happen on defense. She’s relentless. She was playing like a DB against New York. It’s relentless”

Reese's Shooting Challenge

Reese has a 19.3% three-point percentage and 45.1% field goal percentage.

Game 2 Impact

Atlanta needs Reese to improve shooting to close games they lead in the Finals.

Reese's Accountability

Reese admitted she wasn't aggressive enough with the ball after the loss.

“Maybe that was just on me. I wasn’t aggressive enough with the ball, trying to get to the ball and get to my spots”

Karl Smesko's Focus

Smesko emphasizes team cohesion over individual shooting in the Finals.

“I just think we need to maintain how we want to play for a whole four quarters. We had a couple of dry spells where we just weren’t working together as you need to against this defence.”
