Patriots Celebrate 25th Anniversary

The Patriots marked 25 years since their first Super Bowl championship with a pregame celebration at Gillette Stadium.

Brady and Belichick Absent

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick did not attend the Patriots' 25th anniversary celebration of their first Super Bowl championship.

Radio Hosts Question Absence

Boston sports radio hosts questioned Brady and Belichick's absence, arguing a short video message would have been reasonable.

“All it takes is two seconds. Just turn that phone around, film a video, send it off to someone at the Patriots… Once I heard that, it’s like there is no excuse for either of these guys not to at least, just again, turn the phone around, send a video, just say hey”

Belichick's Recent Activity

Belichick attended a dinner celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1986 New York Giants' first Super Bowl championship just one week earlier.

Brady and Belichick's Relationship

Brady described his partnership with Belichick as one built on mutual respect and football, not a debate over credit.

“From my standpoint, I think it’s always such a stupid conversation to say, ‘Brady vs. Belichick’ because, in my mind, that’s not what a partnership is about”

Patriots' Celebration Highlights

The celebration honored Adam Vinatieri, who helped win the 2001 Super Bowl with clutch field goals.

Criticism Continues

Brady and Belichick's absence has become part of the story, leaving fans wondering how two men central to the first title couldn't spare a moment.
