In brief
Three kids were in the pool when a speeding car tore through their backyard, and the camera caught all of it. Speeding on a residential parkway put concrete debris within feet of a 2-year-old, and the driver walked away with a reckless driving citation. Originally reported by FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth.
Sunday evening, north Fort Worth

Around 7 p.m., a Chevy Camaro lost control while speeding on Heritage Trace Parkway. Police say the driver never got it back.
Through the fence

The car plowed through a wooden fence, struck a concrete pillar, then bounced back onto the road before finally stopping.
Three kids in the pool

A 2-year-old girl and her 5-year-old twin brothers were swimming just past that fence. Video shows one child walking by moments before impact.
Concrete missed them

Chunks of the divider post and large rocks flew into the yard. None of the three children were hurt.
A councilman shows up

District 4's Charlie Lauersdorf visited the family and said the fence damage matters far less than the speeding behind it.
“One of my major concerns has been, and residents' concerns in our area is speeding and distracted driving”
Cited and unnamed

Police have not released the driver's name, described by the homeowners as a man in his early 20s. He was cited for reckless driving. His passenger went to the hospital with a head gash.
