SWAT standoff ends in arrest

27-year-old Cameron Theus was arrested Tuesday after a SWAT standoff on Stevens Point Drive in Frisco's Grayhawk neighborhood. He's charged with making a terroristic threat.
Third arrest this year
This is Theus' third arrest in 2026. In August, he followed a woman to a middle school, screamed, and punched vehicles, knocking off a side mirror.
Long criminal history
Theus was arrested for assault in February 2026. He also has prior arrests from 2022 and 2018 for credit card abuse and resisting arrest.
Residents see crime rising

Kevin Raper, a 22-year Grayhawk resident, says the once-quiet neighborhood has seen an uptick in crime. Last summer, a teen was stabbed by an unknown suspect.
“Frisco's a pretty safe area, so you don't expect that sort of thing.”
Unsolved crimes frustrate neighbors
The 2025 teen stabbing remains unsolved with no police updates. Residents want better communication from Frisco Police about ongoing investigations.
“I think I would like to see better communication from the police department.”
Suspect held on bond
Theus is being held in Frisco Jail on $5,000 bond. Records show he also faces a hold related to a previous bond violation.
