Shooting erupts at Fort Worth party

Two men were killed and two others seriously injured after a shootout at a large backyard gathering on Martin Street early Sunday morning.

Argument sparked the violence

The shooting began after a man and woman got into a fight at the celebration. The man was asked to leave but later returned and was confronted by another male.

“During this event, two adults, one male and one female, got involved in some sort of fight, some sort of altercation.”

Multiple guns produced

When the two men fought, one produced a gun and began firing. A second gun was then produced and the shooting continued.

“Those two males got involved in some sort of fight at which point a gun was produced and then shots began to be fired.”

Four men struck by gunfire

All four victims were adult males. Two were pronounced dead at the scene, and two were taken to local hospitals with serious gunshot wounds.

“A total of four individuals, all adults, all males, were struck by the gunfire.”

Investigation ongoing, no arrests

Fort Worth police have not made any arrests. One victim was 24 years old, but identities are pending notification of next of kin.
