Largest lounge in the Americas
United Airlines opened a new lounge this week at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport. At fifty four thousand square feet, it is the largest airport lounge in North or South America.
Where it is and what it holds
The lounge is located in IAH's revamped Terminal B. It has seating for eight hundred people and a thirteen hundred fifty square foot outdoor terrace with panoramic views of planes.
Who can use it
To access the lounge, fliers need a United Club membership, an eligible United rewards credit card, or a premium cabin ticket that includes club access.
What is inside
The lounge features two full-service bars, two buffet stations, and nearly a dozen private phone rooms for business calls. Travelers can handle work on the go in these dedicated spaces.
Design inspired by Houston
The club's design captures the feeling of traveling from the city to the sky. It blends elements of the local cityscape and bayou landscape with nods to Houston's aerospace innovation and cultural diversity.

Part of a larger terminal overhaul
This lounge follows United's opening of the United Fly Club in Terminal B in twenty twenty five. That quick-service lounge offers grab and go snacks, beverages, and barista crafted coffee.
United's presence at IAH grows
The new Terminal B North club brings United's total count of clubs and lounges at IAH to seven. The airline continues to expand its footprint at the Houston airport.
Local art on display
The lounge highlights work by Texas based artists, ranging from immersive digital experiences to mosaic murals to sculptures. Photography by a United employee based in San Antonio is also featured.
Part of a larger art initiative
The lounge is part of a sixteen point eight million dollar public art program. The program aims to imbue the recent overhaul of Terminal B with a Houston vibe through local artistic contributions.
Airports investing in unique spaces
Airports are pouring real money into creating unique spaces with a focus on local flourishes. This represents a huge improvement on the drab, lifeless interiors that frequent fliers are accustomed to.
What it means
United Airlines opened the largest airport lounge in North or South America this week at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, featuring 800 seats, two full-service bars, and an outdoor terrace.
