Zcash breaks through to record high
On Wednesday, Zcash briefly surpassed one thousand six hundred dollars to reach a new ten-year high. The privacy-focused cryptocurrency gained eighty-eight percent over the past month, according to CoinGecko data.
Zcash outpaces broader crypto rally
The rally coincided with Bitcoin's brief move above eighty-seven thousand dollars, not seen since January. Solana, XRP and Hyperliquid posted notable gains, but Zcash rose more than twenty-eight percent this week alone.
Zcash climbs into top ten by market cap

David Lawant, head of research at crypto platform Anchorage Digital, said Zcash rose from outside the top eighty cryptocurrencies by market cap to the top ten over the course of twenty twenty-six.

Privacy features drive investor interest
Zcash allows users to conceal transaction information including sender, recipient and amount through zero-knowledge cryptography. Supporters argue it combines Bitcoin's fixed supply with greater privacy than Bitcoin's public ledger provides.
Institutional backing accelerates growth
On Tuesday, crypto asset manager twenty-one Shares launched a Zcash exchange-traded product listed on Euronext Paris and Euronext Amsterdam. Multicoin Capital disclosed a significant ZEC position earlier this year.
Macro factors support crypto rally
In August, the sector staged a surprise rally after the Treasury Department announced it would double purchases of older, long-term government bonds. Even headwinds including Congress's failure to pass the CLARITY Act have not pushed prices lower.
The main idea
Zcash reached a ten-year high of one thousand six hundred dollars on Wednesday, gaining eighty-eight percent in a month as privacy-focused investors and institutional players drive demand for the cryptocurrency.
