240 people, no signal

A passenger ship carrying 240 people dropped out of contact in the Java Sea on Sunday, sending Indonesian rescue crews out to find it.
The route it was running

The Virgo Transport 8 left Surabaya in East Java, bound for Banjarmasin on Borneo, when communications with the vessel cut out mid-voyage.
Last seen 92 miles out

Authorities tracked the ship to a point roughly 92 miles from a pier in Banjarmasin, capital of South Kalimantan province, before the trail went cold.
Rescue teams move in
The Banjarmasin Search and Rescue Office launched an operation after a report came in that the ship had lost its ability to communicate at sea.
No casualties reported yet
As of Sunday officials had logged no deaths or injuries, and nobody had established what knocked out contact or whether weather was slowing the search.
Still missing
