Seyfried and Sadoski call it quits

Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski announced their separation after nine years of marriage, filing for divorce in a joint statement to People magazine.

“We have been separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit.”

Split is 'right move' for family

In their joint statement, the couple said they've been separated for a while and that divorce is what's best for them and their children. They emphasized they remain connected.

“We've got each other forever, and it's GOOD.”

How they met and married

Seyfried and Sadoski met in 2015 while performing in the Off-Broadway play The Way We Get By, reconnected on a film set, and secretly eloped in March 2017.

Two children together

Seyfried and Sadoski welcomed daughter Nina just days after their secret March 2017 wedding, and later had son Thomas Jr. in September 2020.

Private life on upstate farm

The couple kept their personal life largely private, living on a farm in upstate New York and raising their two children away from the spotlight.

Seyfried's recent career focus

In January, Seyfried told Vogue that Sadoski supports her career opportunities, noting she turns down many roles despite being offered significant parts in films like The Housemaid and The Testament of Anne Lee.
