Italian climber Simone Tentori has climbed Drew Ruana’s Insomniac V16 at Lincoln Lake in Colorado.

Established by Ruana in July 2021, the problem adds a low start that clocks in around V13 into Dave Graham’s We Can Build You V13.

Repeats

Shawn Raboutou, Jimmy Webb, Daniel Woods, Keenan Takahashi, Andy Lamb, Noah Wheeler and others have repeated the climb.

Tentori said on 8a.nu that the send was a 'huge mental battle, fighting against the pressure of the road closure. Lucky to go on the very last day of the season. One of the most intense experiences of my climbing career.'

After his first ascent, Ruana said, 'Drove through a thunderstorm yesterday to find a patch of blue skies and perfect weather. I’ve slowly been working up to this climb, feels good to stand on top of my hardest yet. This used to be the big project of Lincoln Lake until yesterday- onto the next!'
