Brian Bell's gear arsenal

For Weezer's upcoming Gathering tour, Brian Bell has a custom pedalboard built by Mason Marangella of Vertex Effects. He spent a week in Oakland working with Marangella to design it exactly how he wanted.
“It's kinda like when Santa leaves the workshop and the elves get to play!”
The effects he needed
Bell's pedalboard includes distortion, fuzz, boost, analog delay, reverb, and a talk box. He needs the talk box specifically to play Beverly Hills live.
The signal path begins
The pedalboard starts with a Radial SGI RX receiver, then a Boss TU-3W tuner, a Fulltone Supa-Wah, and a GigRig Quartermaster loop selector. This foundation controls everything that comes next.
The first four loops

Loops 1 through 4 contain a Nu-X acoustic simulator, DryBell Vibe Machine, Electro-Harmonix Big Muff fuzz, and ProCo Rat 2 distortion. These effects are organized and switched through another GigRig Quartermaster.
The final loops and amps
Loops 5 through 8 include a J. Rockett overdrive, Boss analog delay, Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail reverb, and MXR Talk Box. The signal then routes to either a clean Vox amp or a dirty Mesa Boogie MKI.
Power and precision
The entire pedalboard is powered by Cioks DC7 and Cioks 8 power supplies, ensuring stable power for all effects. A Lehle Little Dual II amp switcher lets Bell choose between his clean and dirty amplifiers.
Here's the gist
A well-designed pedalboard with the right effects in the right order transforms what a guitarist can do live.
