Gibson honors Cerati with limited ES-335
Gibson Custom released a 60-piece limited edition 1965 ES-335 tribute to late Soda Stereo frontman Gustavo Cerati, available exclusively at the new Gibson Garage in Miami.
“"one of the most significant collector instruments in Gibson history"”
Replicating Cerati's iconic workhorse
The guitar mirrors the 1965 ES-335 Cerati bought in New York in the mid-1990s, featuring a Cherry finish, B7 Bigsby tremolo, factory double pickguards, and Grover tuners.
A guitar that shaped Latin rock
Cerati's original ES-335 appeared on Soda Stereo's legendary 1996 MTV Unplugged performance, major world tours, and his 2007 Live Earth set with Shakira.
Cerati's legacy in numbers
Born in Buenos Aires in 1959, Cerati sold over 10 million solo albums, won six Latin Grammy Awards, and released seven studio albums with Soda Stereo before his death in 2014.
Museum-quality craftsmanship and aging
Built by Gibson Custom and aged by the Murphy Lab using processes that have fooled collectors and musicians like Peter Frampton, the guitar is a fully playable artifact.
“"a museum-quality, yet fully playable collectible designed to endure both musically and historically"”
