Interior Designer Insight
Alana Marie, founder of Alana Marie Interiors, says homes with collected history feel more alive than showrooms.
“i think we're finally moving away from homes that feel like showrooms. for years, "polished" meant matching, symmetrical, everything brand new, and now that just reads as cold.”
Personalizing Pieces
Alana explains that vintage pieces can be reupholstered or adjusted to fit new surroundings without losing character.
“i always tell clients not to be put off by a great frame with dated upholstery. that's the easiest thing in the world to change!”
