Design Expert Insight

Bo Hellberg explains chocolate brown brings warmth and softness to rooms through its earthy tone and timeless appeal.

“Chocolate brown is a rich, earthy tone that brings warmth and softness to interior spaces. Its popularity has grown significantly over the past year, thanks to its versatility and timeless appeal. Whether used as a grounding statement on its own or as a sophisticated backdrop to complementary hues, chocolate brown creates depth and balance within a room.”

Sofa Shape Trend

Rikke Blaeside notes bulbous sofa silhouettes are trending for their cosseting feel and playful warmth this season.

“The curved sofa trend has given way to all out curvy, chunky mania with bulbous silhouettes taking over. Providing a cosseting and soft finish, bulbous silhouettes will be favoured throughout the cosy season as homeowners seek to create a feel of respite and warmth, while still adding an element of joy and playfulness.”

How to Adopt the Trend

Start with small chocolate brown elements before upgrading to a full chocolate brown sofa for a warm living room.
