Jessica Chastain's Acting Personas
Jessica Chastain's Oscar-winning performance twists into a monstrous, demented horror character in 'Other Mommy'.
“Hypnotic and demented, director Rob Savage's surreal adaptation of Josh Malerman's 2024 novel twists its Oscar-winning lead into a monstrous intensity that's baffling to behold.”
The Monster's Intimate Ambition
The film's titular terror wants a little girl to invite her inside her heart, convincing the child it was her idea first.
“There’s something uniquely tragic about a monster who wants to be loved. Most supernatural villains are content to stalk, maim, and murder their victims, but the titular terror of “ Other Mommy ” has a much, much more intimate ambition.”
The Kitchen Entrance
The film's kitchen entrance makes you want to laugh and scream at the same time, as Chastain's character stretches her body into impossible shapes.
“Played by Oscar winner Jessica Chastain, this freakish apparition can twist her body into impossible shapes, stretch her neck around corners, and occupy just about any cramped, scary space.”
