Buckner as Perfect Target
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is one of the best interior pass-rushers in the NFL and would lead the Jaguars in pressures and sacks.
Jaguars' Need for Buckner
The Jaguars lack interior rush for years and Buckner would boost their pass-rush more than most interior defenders.
Contract Year Opportunity
Buckner is in a contract year and could help the Jaguars earn a compensatory draft pick in March if he serves as a rental for 2026.
Trade Deadline Target
The Colts are making DeForest Buckner available as the perfect trade deadline target for the Jaguars.
No Trade Connection
The Colts and Jaguars do not do business with each other when it comes to trades.
AFC South Rivalry

Historical Precedent

Pipedream Reality
Buckner to the Jaguars is nothing more than a pipedream and a wish upon a star.
