Pest controller discovers bedbug infestation

Gareth Davis, owner of Pest & Property Solutions Ltd, found hundreds of thousands of bedbugs in a UK home during his 38-year career.

Bedbugs hidden in walls and furniture

Bedbugs hide in cracks, skirting boards, furniture, electrical fittings, and behind wall coverings, making them hard to spot.

Bedbug infestation signs

Small itchy bites on exposed skin, blood spots on bedding, and small brown spots from bedbug poop are signs of infestation.

Bedbugs resistant to insecticides

Bedbugs are becoming increasingly resistant to insecticide treatments, making infestations harder to control.

Pest controller's advice

Call your local council or pest control service, wash bedding on hot wash, and use freezer for items that can't be washed.

Bedbug infestation severity

This infestation was the worst in Davis's 38-year career, with bedbugs visible in wallpaper and mattresses.

“This house was just horrific, hundreds of thousands of them when you lifted the mattresses up. They were coming out of the wallpaper, it was horrendous.”
