Politician Calls for Wembley to Cancel Manson Show

Councillor Anton Georgiou demands Wembley Stadium cancel Marilyn Manson's 2027 Slipknot performance due to sexual abuse allegations.

“i was shocked to learn that marilyn manson has been booked to play here at wembley, given the historic sexual abuse allegations made against him”

Manson's 2027 Performance at Wembley

Slipknot's show at Wembley is scheduled for July 3, 2027 with Manson, Hatebreed, and Lorna Shore performing.

Georgiou's Concerns About the Booking

Georgiou criticized Brent Council for not addressing sexual abuse allegations against Manson in their public statements.

“this really does fly in the face of the council's ongoing work to tackle violence against women and girls”

Brent Council Response

Brent Council stated they have no control over who performs at Wembley and emphasized their commitment to preventing violence against women.

“we are crystal clear about our values and that is why we devote significant time, resources and effort to preventing abuse”

Wembley Stadium's Stance

Wembley Stadium said supporting acts are chosen by the headlining artist and promoter, but they're discussing Manson's inclusion with the promoter.

Fan Reactions to Manson's Inclusion

Some Slipknot fans criticized Manson's inclusion, calling him a 'creepy and abusive piece of trash' and demanding he be removed from the tour.

“i'm not really sure what other people feel on here, but i think marilyn manson is a creepy and abusive piece of trash”

Jim Root's Response

Jim Root, Slipknot's guitarist, said he doesn't follow tour logistics and prefers to focus on music rather than who they perform with.

“i stay out of the logistics of touring and all that. i concentrate on writing and being a guitarist”

What Happens Next

Wembley Stadium is expected to discuss Manson's inclusion with the promoter while Brent Council continues to push for cancellation.
